UNIPOLSTR – Custom-made seat niche/windowsill cushions

Custom Window Seat Cushions for Window Nooks and Chests

Turn a wide windowsill into a spot for your morning coffee, transform an unused niche into a cozy reading corner, and turn a simple chest into extra seating. With a custom window seat cushion, you can use existing spaces exactly the way that fits your home.

A UNIPOLSTR cushion is manufactured according to your specifications and combines a dimensionally stable foam core with a removable cover. The dimensions, shape, and desired height of the cushion can be individually configured – for a perfect fit and comfort both indoors and outdoors.

Custom Window Seat Cushion for Your Favorite Spot

Windowsills are rarely standardized. Deep reveals, side walls, or varying widths often make ready-made cushions a compromise. A custom window seat cushion is based on the actual available surface and creates a calm, harmonious finish.

Whether you call it a window cushion, seat pad, or window ledge mat: the right size is crucial. If you are looking for an even more general solution, you can also find our custom cushions with freely selectable dimensions.

Have Custom Niche Cushions Made to Order

A seating niche thrives on its unique location. That is precisely why it deserves a cushion that does not overhang, leaves no unnecessary gaps, and complements the existing architecture. With a custom-made niche cushion, you determine the length, depth, and cushion height to suit your project.

For a simple niche, a rectangular shape is often sufficient. For slants, curves, or uneven sides, you can submit a dimensioned sketch and plan your niche cushion as a special custom order.

Custom Chest Cushions and Storage Bench Pads

A chest can be much more than just storage. With a custom-made chest cushion, its top becomes a comfortable seat. This is suitable for living rooms, hallways, bedrooms, or sheltered outdoor spaces.

Measure the usable lid surface and take fittings, handles, and adjacent walls into account. This allows the chest cushion to be planned for an exact fit. For a related, more versatile solution, you can also take a look at our custom pads.

Multiple Shapes and Custom Dimensions Based on a Sketch

Not every window niche has right angles. UNIPOLSTR can therefore be manufactured in various shapes and, if requested, according to a dimensioned sketch. This allows special outer contours, beveled sides, and individual niche dimensions to be accommodated cleanly.

You can also choose the desired height of the cushion. This allows you to precisely match the final seating height on the windowsill, niche, or chest to your project.

Waterproof and UV-Resistant Cover

The cover is waterproof, UV-resistant, and easy to maintain. This makes your window cushion suitable for living rooms as well as sunny window seats and outdoor areas. If not in use for an extended period, dry and protected storage helps maintain the material and color long-term.

Removable, Washable, and Easy to Care For

Window seats and alcoves quickly become favorite spots. The cover can therefore be removed and washed. Small traces of everyday life can be easily removed without having to replace the entire cushion.

How to Properly Measure Your Window Seat Cushion

Measure the width and depth in several places, as niches can be slightly out of square. Take window handles, radiators, ledges, and the desired clearance on the sides into account. For special shapes, the sketch should clearly show all side lengths and special features.

If you would like to equip a longer bench seat instead of a niche, our custom bench cushion may be the more suitable specialty product.
