Determining shade sail measurements correctly: mounting distance is not the fabric size
Between the eyelet and the wall point, there are fittings and tensioning space. If the fabric is ordered to be exactly the same size as the clear distance, it can hardly be tensioned cleanly. Measure all sides and – for four corners – also the diagonals. This way, crooked layouts are noticed before they end up as an unpleasant surprise during installation.

What applies to old or sensitive facades
The mounting must be located in a load-bearing substrate. Facade insulation, unknown masonry, and protected building structures require a separate assessment. For rental properties, structural changes must be approved in advance.
Plaster, insulation, railings, attachments, or visible masonry are not automatically suitable anchor points. Before the final measurement, it should therefore be clarified where the tensile forces can be safely transferred into the building structure. If there is no load-bearing point in the right place, an additional post can be the cleaner solution.
