Rain protection or airy summer shade?
HDPE allows air and rain to pass through and reduces heat buildup under the sail cloth. The waterproof polyester version provides additional protection from rain, but requires a cleanly tensioned, inclined installation. Those who confuse the two usually notice it during the first cloudburst – a rather unnecessary learning moment.
