A beach chair can often be used for a long time even if only the cushions have worn out. However, the search for a replacement set often hits snags over small details: a different footrest depth, a curved backrest, or a seat that is a few centimeters narrower than the current model. With custom-made beach chair cushions, you base your order on the existing chair rather than a model name.
Which beach chair cushions would you like to replace?
Consider the seat cushions, back cushions, and the pads for the extendable footrests separately. Some beach chairs also include neck or side pillows. If only the seat area is worn, you do not need to replace the entire set. If you are replacing several parts, it is worth creating a small list with the quantities, dimensions, and desired thickness. This ensures that the left and right sides are planned evenly, even if the old set has become unevenly deformed over the years.
The inner dimension counts, not the outer width of the chair
Measure the clear width at the height of the respective cushion support. The seat and backrest can have different widths; the backrest may also become narrower towards the top. For seat cushions, you need the width and depth; for back cushions, you additionally need the desired height. For the footrests, check the extended position and ensure the cushion can move freely when pushed in. Sketch any slopes or side cutouts with their respective edge dimensions.
A rectangular seat cushion made to your desired size can be planned directly. For a straight, tapering contour, a suitable shaped side may be an option; for more complex straight cutouts, choose a special shape. A heavily curved backrest or three-dimensional contour should be coordinated via a sketch before ordering. A flat, custom-made cushion does not automatically replicate every curve of a beach chair.
Covers and outdoor use
Life outdoors is part of owning a beach chair: sun, damp air, and the occasional shower. The UNIPOLSTR cover is waterproof and UV-resistant, and can be removed and washed. Nevertheless, plan for dry storage if the beach chair will not be used for an extended period. When the hood is closed or the upper part is folded back, check how much space remains for your desired cushion thickness.

Configure new beach chair cushions individually
For a new custom-made seat cushion and individual back cushions, you can select the respective dimensions directly; for multiple outdoor elements, the custom-made outdoor cushion is a good starting point. Straight contours with cutouts lead to the special-shape cushion. If you would like to keep the existing cover and only replace the core, the custom-cut foam is the ideal alternative.
