Custom-made boat and yacht cushions

On a boat, hardly any seating area is truly standard. Curves follow the outer wall, backrests taper at an angle, and even small cutouts determine whether a cushion sits neatly. A UNIPOLSTR is custom-made based on your measurements and combines a perfectly fitting foam core with a removable cover. This creates custom-made boat cushions for motorboats, sailboats, yachts, and cabin cruisers.

In the cockpit and on deck, limited space and specific contours meet intensive use. A straight standard cushion will quickly leave gaps or overhang the seat there. Custom boat cushions can follow an existing bench, a curved seating area, or an individual bucket seat. You determine the length, width, cushion thickness, and shape to suit your boat.

A cockpit bench, the helm station, or a small seating area on board each require a different layout. Custom boat seat cushions can be planned as individual elements or as a matching cushion set. Especially for storage hatches, it makes sense to subdivide the seat so that the compartments remain easily accessible.

Matching back cushions complement the seating area and ensure a calm overall appearance. For curved or slanted backrests, you should measure each element separately and clearly mark its position. This allows the individual custom boat cushions to be coordinated with one another.

Boat cushions for cabin and salon

Below deck, efficient use of space and a harmonious layout are key. Custom boat cushions are suitable for seating groups in the salon, small benches in the cabin, or custom-built relaxation areas. A UNIPOLSTR can be manufactured in a rectangular, trapezoidal, round, or other suitable shape.

For a cabin seating group, seat and back cushions can be configured individually. This allows you to continue using existing furniture while renewing the cushions. Cabin and bunk cushions made to fit

Custom cabin cushions often follow a narrow or asymmetrical surface. In a bunk, curves, slopes, and cutouts along the ship's side are also added. With a dimensioned sketch, the contour can be clearly captured and produced as a special shape.

Custom bunk cushions can be planned as seat, back, or lying cushions depending on their use. If an independent sleeping pad is required, a custom mattress is the more suitable solution.

Foam cut to size for boat cushions

The foam core forms the basis of your finished cushion. It is cut to size according to the chosen dimensions, thickness, and shape, and then combined with the cover. This provides you with a complete seat, back, or lying cushion that is matched to the intended area on board.

Yacht cushions for salon, lounge, and outdoor areas

On a yacht, cushions are often distributed across several zones. In the salon, custom-fit seating groups are the focus, while the cockpit, flybridge, and deck require durable and easy-care covers. Custom yacht cushions can be planned individually for these areas and visually designed as a cohesive set of equipment.

Custom yacht seat cushions also benefit from a clear modular layout. For a larger seating landscape, mark which element is used at the front, back, left, or right. This ensures the arrangement remains clear later on, even if several cushions have similar dimensions.

Renew boat cushions without rebuilding the seating group

When existing boat cushions are worn or deformed, the underlying seating landscape does not necessarily have to be changed. You can remeasure the usable surfaces and configure the replacement cushions according to the existing layout. This allows you to renew boat cushions while simultaneously correcting minor fit problems of the previous equipment.

If you want to have boat cushions made, you should pay attention to the transitions between adjacent elements in addition to the outer dimensions. An accurately labeled sketch helps, especially with mirrored parts, curved benches, and different back angles.

Free forms, curves, and slanted contours

In addition to rectangular and trapezoidal cushions, round, oval, triangular, pentagonal, and other shapes are also possible. If no basic shape fits your surface, you can have a free form made according to a sketch. This is suitable, for example, for a curved cockpit corner, a narrow foredeck area, or a cutout on a cabin wall.

Waterproof and UV-resistant cover

The cover of your UNIPOLSTR is removable, washable, waterproof, UV-resistant, and easy to maintain. This makes the cushion suitable for both the interior of the cabin and seating areas outdoors. Dirt is easier to remove, and the cover can be cleaned separately if necessary.

Measuring boat and yacht cushions correctly

Measure the fixed usable area and additionally check existing cushions without relying solely on their potentially deformed contour. Record the length, width, and desired thickness of each element. For curves and slopes, add all partial dimensions as well as clearly named reference points.

For a special shape, sketch the surface from a top-down view and note which side faces the ship's side, the bow, or the stern. This allows your individual boat cushion to be clearly configured and later placed in the intended position.
