Slope for waterproof shade sails
If you want to keep rain out, you should set the heights on the plan early on. Waterproof material requires a clear low side and tight tension. For pure shading, HDPE is often more relaxed: air and rain pass through the fabric, preventing water accumulation.
Those who primarily want shade and air circulation are usually well-served with HDPE; rain can drain through the fabric. If a dining or guest area needs to remain usable during a shower, waterproof polyester is an option. In that case, the slope and water drainage must be determined from the start.
